1996OrtoRomi was founded by the two senior partners, Elio Pelosin and Rino Bovo, who joined their agricultural know-how as farmers and growers of vegetables. At first OrtoRomi was dedicated to the no-washed salads production.
1999First dedicated to the production of unwashed products, the Company decided to invest in the fresh cut market (ready to eat salads).
2006OrtoRomi decided to be an extended Cooperative, to get the control of the entire agricultural food chain, from seeds up to the selling of the final product.
2007An important business component joined OrtoRomi, e.i. Giuseppe Senese’s farm. Thus, OrtoRomi could increase its production thanks to a plant in Bellizzi (SA), where there is a rich soil for the growing of vegetables, such guarateeing the supply of the raw material 365 days-a-year, in both North and South Italy to give the consumer the best product.
2008OrtoRomi is an extended Cooperative; its mission is to get closer to both consumer’s demands and market needs thanks to a high quality service-oriented product.
2014Insal’Arte was launched: an elegant and minimal brand as a result of passion and experience gained by OrtoRomi.
2016The Cooperative celebrated 20 years of activity with the opening of an innovative and certified plant in Borgoricco, in the province of Padova.
2017OrtoRomi launches a line of fruit and vegetables slow juices by Insal’Arte. OrtoRomi is on TV with a national campaign (Sky channels).
2018OrtoRomi invests in the ready to eat meal solutions market by launching a line of soups and mashed soups. Communication investments continue with a national campaign on radio channels.
2019The Company launched the “OrtoRomi per la Scuola” project, which involved primary schools in the province of Treviso, Venice, Padua and Rovigo and invited them to visit where the salads grows, in greenhouses and fields. With Insal’Arte brand, the Cooperative also invested in sport sponsorship, such as Volleybal Padua, Virtus Segafredo and Deejay Ten runs. Communication investments continued with an important radio and digital campaigns throughout Italy.
2020The Cooperative equips itself with a news organizational structure based on managerial footprint and the entry of new generations. A series of projects continue, which were on stand-by during the pandemic and the lockdown, with the usual passion and tenacity.
10Partners of the Cooperative OrtoRomi (9 farms + Co.Ve.Ca.A. Cooperative) and over 40 farms placed all over Italy conferring raw material to OrtoRomi.
